In May 2026, Pablo Peula visited ESMAE — the School of Music and Performing Arts in Porto — as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

During his stay, Pablo worked with undergraduate and master’s students in Composition and gave the lecture “Echoes of Narváez”, where he discussed the influence of Luys de Narváez’s music on several of his recent works, analysing techniques and strategies of reinterpretation and intertextuality, and reflecting on how dialogue with tradition can become fertile ground for contemporary creation.
