“Ataurique” wins the ACHЯOME ensemble’s 5th Call for Scores

The composition for alto flute, violin, cello and prepared piano —commissioned and premiered by Taller Sonoro in October 2021 in Madrid— won the 1st prize (over more than 40 other pieces from around the world) at the 5th International Call for Scores of the ACHЯOME Ensemble.

The jury, formed by a renowned group of specialised performers, composers and scholars from Italy and Austria, highlighted the “fine craftsmanship” of the winning scores and unanimously awarded “Ataurique” the 1st place.

The piece had thus its Italian premiere on Saturday, 9 April 2022 in Bergamo at the historic Sala Piatti, by the ACHЯOME Ensemble, in a concert which also featured pieces by Di Virgilio, Punzo, Curiel, Taglietti and Laganà.

“Ataurique” is also being distributed by the publishing house Preludio from Milan and broadcast by the Italian station RadioCEMAT.
